At the beginning of July 2019, Ekaterina Prozorova, concept manager of the C3E project (Contents for Cross — Cultural Events) visited Mikkeli Music Festival for observing and planning upcoming C3E activities.

Ekaterina Prozorova negotiated with Teemu Laasanen, a famous Finnish pianist and director of the Mikkeli Music Festival. During the talks, the sides identified cooperation opportunities between Mikkeli and St. Petersburg, discussed the creation in the near future — an immersive content and exhibition spaces by young designers, students of SUITD Fashion Design Department, Built Environment Department, Applied Informatics in Design Department.

Also, the collaboration of the Music Festival and the Admiralty Needle International Contest for Young Designers can become new platform for the project development.

Liubov Dzhikija the artistic director of the Admiralty Needle pointed out that it is a unique platform where different types of arts can be presented — classical music and fashion, which complement each other in the best way possible.

The result of the meeting was the coordination of the ideas and dates for the international Kouvola Hackathon, a creative battle of the most talented design students of SPbSUITD and XAMK.
